Mrs. Thelma Robinson O’Neal aka “Grandma” departed into eternal peace on September 25, 2018, following a lengthy illness.
Thelma was born in Rock Hill S.C. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira W. Robinson. She was also preceded in death by one sister Dorothy Robinson. She was a high school graduate of Emmitt Scott, received a bachelor’s in economics from NC A&T University and a master’s in Theology from Shaw University.
Thelma worked many years as a Career Counselor with the Links program of the City of Greensboro.
Thelma’s loved discovery and often found pleasure in reading and debating theories and scripture.
Thelma was a current member of United Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church for over 12 years and a former member and chartered Shiloh Baptist Church member.
Thelma leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted and loving daughter Monica O’Neal, loving and caring grandsons Malcom and Micah O’Neal of the city, one sister Helen R. Wu, Baldwin New York, two brothers Ira Jr., Rock Hill S.C. and Samuel Robinson of the city, three nieces Chantelle Robinson of the city, Raven of Connecticut and Daylynn Wu of Baldwin NY, three close cousins Ida Duncan of the city, Priscilla Collier, Fairfax VA and Patricia Currence, Rock Hill S.C. a devoted cousin/niece Sonia Duncan and a supportive and caring family/and dearest friend Barbara Goodin, of the city and a host of other loving family and friends.
